Where to Celebrate 4th of July in the Coachella Valley


Summer is in full swing and it’s almost time to celebrate our country’s independence. If you are planning a trip to the Coachella Valley for the 4th of July there are plenty of options for enjoying an All American day complete with fireworks!

Sunday, July 1st

The City of Coachella will be kicking off the 4th early with local food vendors, music, carnival rides, games for the kids, and of course, fireworks.  The event is located at Bagdouma Park. Find out more details here.
 

Tuesday, July 3rd

The Cabazon Band of Mission Indians will host a free fireworks show at the Eagle Springs Golf Course located next to Fantasy Springs Casino in Indio.  Spectators are welcome to bring low back chairs and blankets to watch the fireworks show that will be choreographed to music on local radio station The Eagle 106.9. Wednesday, July 4th

The City of Palm Springs will host its annual 4th of July pool party at the City Pool beginning at 2pm.  Admission is $2 for children 4-12 and $6 for adults.  There will be music, games, an inflatable slide, and fireworks will be visible from the pool. Check it out here.

Palm Springs Stadium will host its annual 4th of July Power baseball game followed by fireworks at the Stadium.  The baseball game starts at 6:05pm with hot dogs, peanuts, and beer available for purchase. Fireworks begin at 9:15pm and the ballfield is open to the public at 8pm!  For those looking for a free option to see fireworks head to Sunrise Park (where the baseball field is located) early in the day with a picnic and enjoy the fireworks!

Agua Caliente Resort will host a BBQ Buffet for $21.99 per person (4-9pm) followed by a fireworks extravaganza beginning about 9pm. See the details here.

Civic Center Park in Palm Desert will kick off its 4th of July festivities at 7:15pm with the National Anthem followed by The Swing Cats, a big band, until the 9pm fireworks.  This show is also visible from the upper-level restaurant patios on El Paseo.  Be sure to plan ahead for reservations.
